Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) is a low-molecular-weight, water-soluble citrus-derived polysaccharide that has attracted ongoing scientific interest. This research library brings together selected studies examining MCP and galectin-3-related cell interactions, experimental tumor adhesion and metastasis models, toxic-element excretion, metabolic markers, neuroinflammation, and moisture-retention properties. The publications span laboratory assays, material-performance testing, animal models, and a limited number of exploratory human observations. Together, they illustrate how molecular size, processing, and composition may influence MCP's functional behavior and formulation relevance. Each summary identifies the study design, key findings, and evidence boundary to support accurate interpretation. Findings from cells, animals, or specific MCP preparations should not be generalized to all products or treated as proof of clinical efficacy. We encourage formulators, researchers, and ingredient buyers to review the original publications and evaluate specifications appropriate to their intended application.
